International Container Terminal Services, Inc.’s (ICTSI) Batumi International Container Terminal (BICT) recently serviced the MSC Ukraine, the largest vessel to dock in the Black Sea coast of the Republic of Georgia.

Owned by Swiss Megaliner Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), the 1,939 TEU capacity MSC Ukraine has an overall length of 202 meters and a width of 31 meters.

BICT serviced the vessel in less than 44 hours, loading and off-loading a total of 2,400 TEUs.

ICTSI acquired a 48-year concession to develop and operate a container and multipurpose terminal in the Port of Batumi located at the Black Sea coast of the autonomous region of Adjara in Georgia.

BICT is the country’s trading gateway for cargo traffic to the Caucasus and Central Asia regions.
