United in their common aspiration for a strong shipbuilding and ship repair industry, the  the Metro Manila Shipyard Association, Inc. (MMSA) and the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, Inc. (SONAME) will be staging their first joint “MMSAI-SONAME GOLF CUP” on May 20, 2016 at the Eagle Ridge Golf & Country Club, Cavite City.

Proceeds from this golf tournament will be allocated to maritime projects and initiatives on the development of the ship building industry in the country. Together with ANGKLA Party-list and EverCat Asia (Cebu), SONAME has also initiated a boat donation project to strengthen the coastal watch capabilities of our marine reserves particularly the Sagay Marine Reserve in Negros Occidental which has come under continuous threat of illegal fishing.
